After sixteen years in Rotterdam, Johannes Langkamp will leave his studio and the city this summer to move to Groningen, where he and his family will begin a new chapter in a former school building that will become their new home and studio.

Before leaving Rotterdam, Langkamp opens the doors of his current studio one last time for a large open studio event throughout the STEUR harbor building.

The studio will be transformed into a site-specific exhibition featuring recent installations, experiments, models, kinetic works and new developments from his ongoing practice. Among the works presented is The Collection of Movement, previously shown during Art Rotterdam 2026, now exhibited in a larger and more open setup within the studio itself.

A new large-scale experiment developed for the central hall of the building will also be presented as part of the ongoing project One Experiment A Month.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors will find a temporary studio garage sale with materials, tools, models, studies and selected works from the studio available to take home.
