In this kinetic sculpture a large sheet of paper performs its limitations in relation to space. The sheet lies on the floor of the exhibition space, partly curled over on itself because of its position against a wall. Its orientation changes continuously, rotated by a floor-mounted motor. The resulting wave-like fold is accompanied by the mild fricative sound of paper rubbing against each other. The installation plays with characteristics of the material (paper) and the spatial circumstances as determining elements. In its slow rotation and the gentle curve of the curled sheet, the plane escapes the confines of its two dimensions.
