Holding Capacity | 2015
In Holding capacity a camera continuously changes its perspective. The camera, driven by mechanical means, travels back and forth between two points of view. Langkamp works with this state of transformation to research the range and reach of perspective. The framed scene consists of a wall-mounted sheet of wood and a mural drawing. This staged set is displayed live on an external monitor and seems to generate an autonomous reality. “An intervention with a moving perspective”.
